'Esso Motor Cleaner' Lighted Sign

Available is a circa 1941-45 lighted sign. The face is reverse-painted glass, the body of the fixture is cardboard. I believe this fixture dates to the war years, as cardboard was substituted for the steel, that would otherwise have been utilized. The face does have a fair amount of paint loss, but still presents well. Measures 20" x 9" x 6" deep. Does light. This fixture was designed to be hung, and does have the chain. Lots of repro signs on ebay; this definitely is not one of them. Free shipping to 48 states.
