How to Use The Diamondback HD Spotting Scope
Attach the Eyepiece
Before attaching the eyepiece, remove any covers that would interfere with attaching the eyepiece to the spotting scope body.
• To attach the eyepiece, insert the eyepiece into the body and rotate clockwise using the ribbed ring on the eyepiece until the eyepiece is tight (stops rotating).
• To detach the eyepiece, hold the ribbed ring and turn the eyepiece counterclockwise.
Adjust the Magnification
Change your spotting scope’s magnification by simply turning the magnification adjustment ring.
• Increase the magnification by turning the adjustment ring clockwise.
• Decrease the magnification by turning the adjustment ring counterclockwise.
Adjust Viewing Angle
The tripod mount collar allows you to rotate the spotting scope body for greater flexibility.
• Loosen the mounting collar by turning the thumbscrew counterclockwise.
• Rotate the spotting scope body to the viewing angle you prefer.
• Keep the spotting scope in the preferred viewing position by turning the thumbscrew clockwise to secure the mounting collar.
Attach to a Tripod
For the steadiest views, mount the Diamondback HD on a sturdy tripod or car window mount. The built-in tripod mount easily attaches to most tripods and quick-release plates.
Adjust the Focus
After changing the magnification, some refocusing is usually required. Turn the focus dial to adjust the fine focus. This fine focusing does more than allow you to see critical details: A well-focused image also ensures fatigue-free viewing.
Adjust the Eyecup
The adjustable eyecup twists up and down so you can observe the full field of view, even if you wear eyeglasses.
• Twist eyecup down to view with glasses.
• Twist eyecup up to view without glasses.
Adjust the Sunshade
Extend this fitted hood to effectively block out disturbing stray light. The sunshade also shields the objective lens from mechanical damage and guards against soiling caused by fingerprints and precipitation.

Orders placed on weekends and bank holidays will be posted the next working day. All items are sent via USPS post. Postage is combined for multiple purchases.
