    Vintage 1940 -50s Red Ryder Children’s Gloves - Rare
    Vintage 1940 -50s Red Ryder Children’s Gloves. Red Ryder Gloves featuring this unique Red Ryder logo design in such excellent condition are rarely seen. Don’t miss the opportunity to add these Red Ryder Gloves to your Western Collection. One owner; these gloves were barely worn before they were outgrown. Red Ryder; a Western Comic Strip by Stephen Slesinger; with Fred Hartman as the spokesperson for the Red Ryder Character during the 1940-60s, became the longest running and most popular comic character of the Western genre in movies, radio, comics and mass marketing of a wide array of merchandise for children and men.
    The gloves are made of a fleece type material; red colored with navy blue trim and a tan colored lining; featuring a Red Ryder design logo on the front of each of the gloves. Each glove has a small elasticized area located on the front near the top edge of the wrist region of the glove. This elasticized area is likely diminished compared to when purchased originally. The Red Ryder Design Logos on each glove have some surface wear that may not be seen easily in the photos. The navy blue trim and interior lining shows some areas of fabric pilling. These are vintage items that show signs of wear consistent with age, use/ play, and decades of storage; surface & edge wear, fabric pilling, loose threads; see photos.
