Up for sale is a
Vintage Esso Bayway Refinery Employee ID Badge!
This is an old employee ID badge from the
Esso Bayway Refinery
in
Linden NJ
. This is a round brass badge with the employee’s photo inside. It is most likely pre-WWII, issued sometime between opening the refinery in
1909
and the early
1940s!
The badge is engraved with the
Esso
logo and “
Bayway
” on the front, and marked “
2187
” on the back, presumably an employee number. The badge measures about 2” diameter (with a 1½” photo inset). As shown in the photos, this vintage employee badge is in very good used condition with some normal wear and aging, including some possible color loss in the engraved letters. The plastic photo cover is discolored and warped from age. The brass has a nice patina, and the pin back is in place as shown. This rare vintage Esso Bayway Refinery ID badge would make a great addition to your collection!
