Every first aid kit should have at least one, preferably 3 or 4.
These malleable aluminum-core splints make the immobilization of the member much easier and more correct than any other material (eg wood). It is a long piece of special thin aluminum, which is surrounded on both sides with a special hypoallergenic foam material.
They can be shaped into almost any shape depending on the case of the injured member. They are cut with scissors if necessary. After use, they are wrapped again in the original shape for storage until the next use.
They are radially permeable splints and thus do not need to be removed during X-rays. Extremely light and so can and should be integrated into any First Aid kit.
