Period Victorian Lace Gauntlets Antique Textile fingerless gloves

If you don’t know what you’re looking at please find a more modern pair of gauntlets. If you do know what you’re looking at, you’ll know how rare and special these are despite their faults. Real deal antique Period Victorian Lace Gauntlets in pretty good shape for 100+ year old lace and light stocking-like fabric. One little split along a sewn seam as shown, otherwise very nice shape. Hole on seam might be tough to repair, but for historical and collectible reasons still a nice set. Likely a young lady’s or a very petite woman since they seem very small. They were unearthed in a long-forgotten trunk deep in the recesses of a four generation home. Despite the moldy musty clothing around them they stayed in very nice shape wrapped up in an old sugar bag with some other items. A very interesting find and not something you are likely to find again of the same age and quality. Measures about 8” long and about 3.5” wide at wrist with plenty of stretch available.
