    Includes an official transportation map for the state of Hawaii (from the Hawaii Department of Transportation, 1995); a map & guide to Pearl Harbor, Honolulu’s huge natural harbor that was the scene of a surprise attack by the Japanese military on the American Pacific fleet, and thus the opening battle (for the Americans) of World War II (from Franko Maps, 2006); a detailed map of Molokai (“The Friendly Isle”) and Lanai (“The Pineapple Isle”), two of the less-traveled islands in the Hawaiian archipelago, located near Maui and part of Maui County (from James Bier/University of Hawaii Press, 1990); an official map & guide for Haleakala National Park, which encompasses the area around the 10,000-foot volcano of the same name that forms the eastern 3/4 of the island of Maui (from the National Park service, circa 2000); and a hiking guide for Haleakala (from the National Park Service, circa 2000).
