    Description

    Handsome fold-out 1957 Esso road map of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware, printed more than 60 years ago.
    This map opens to 24" x 34" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the General Drafting Company.
    On on the reverse side there's a map of the Chesapeake Bay region and inset plans of Baltimore, Norfolk, Washington, D.C., and Historic Richmond.
    The map was published by the Esso Standard Oil Company in 1957 and is dated in the legend.
    The artwork on the front cover includes the statue of Captain John Smith at Jamestown, Virginia.
